marketplace
Prepared by Elisabeth Lindsay.
In general, a
marketplace is a place where goods and services are bought and sold. Relative to genealogy, vendor booths at conferences, commercial web sites, and ads in genealogy magazines constitute a marketplace. There are also some stores dedicated to genealogy products, and an abundance of genealogical products and services offered on the Internet. Such a marketplace is a benefit to genealogists in providing access to materials of a specialized nature. The Genealogy Today
Marketplace provides a wide range of genealogy-related products.
