Order of the Mystic Star
Founded about 1872 or 1873, at New York city, by A. J. Duganne and others. It was designed to rival the then rapidly growing Order of the Eastern Star, and, like it, was open only to Master Masons, their wives, widows, mothers, daughters, and sisters. It did not live long.
