Coolidge, Grace Anna Goodhue, 1927, Biographical Sketch

THE SOUND foundation which Calvin Coolidge laid for his career was completed by his marriage to an opposite in spontaneity and vivacity, but who yet has her partner's freedom from pretensions and his independence of the superfluities that load so many people down. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Mrs. Coolidge, who for a long time taught school, is not only a woman of intellectual charm and grace, but an excellent housekeeper and skilled in cooking and needlework. Aside from her family and official duties, her interest principally is in social work.
