The Tribute of Kearny Council, 1926, Harrison (NJ) War Monument

KEARNY COUNCIL, No. 402, K. of C., supplemented the tribute which the town had paid to its service men by the casting of a bronze tablet inscribed with the names of those from the council who had served in the World War.

This tablet was placed in a prominent position in the clubhouse of the council. It was prepared under the direction of James L. McKeon.

One hundred and sixty-five members of Kearny Council were in service. One of these, John G. Flanagan, was killed in action. He was attached to Company M, 310th Infantry, 78th Division. He fell at St. Juvin, October 17,1918.
